That's stupid & dangerous so if a disaster happened such has a fire or stand collapsing (god forbid this were to happen) the emergency services could be looking for thousands of people that aren't there if they automatically take into account season tickets.
The actual figures (clicks through the turnstile) are available and I'd imagine would be used should your scenario ever occcur. The 'tickets sold' method is for tax and revenue reasons I think.
