I've read quite a few and preferred the books to the film adaptations, not that they were awful, I just had my own images of characters. Good writer though.

Cracking books. The Given Day and Live By Night are both fantastic as well as the Kenzie-Gennaro books.

Well worth it. Read the Kenzie/Gennaro books in order and The Given Day before Live By Night.

The last Kenzie/Gennaro book was canny poor but enjoyed the rest.

I'll buy them for me Mam but I don't like violence in books.

I wasn't as keen on the film Gone Baby Gone as I was the book. It wasn't a bad film but I couldn't relate it to the characters I already had in my head. Strange, but that often happens for me.
