Advocaat like most managers seems to like two players per position, and commented when he arrived that in some areas he had three and in others one.

Using that logic, we will try to shift Vergini, but if we keep him he can help out at full-back, where we are still light. Tom Beadling can learn his trade at centre half around these players. He will be an under-age squad player who we can loan out if all are fit, and recall him if not.

It's a pity we can't wait for Van Dijk, at 23 he'd be a decent investment, but he would probably be too expensive anyway. Lombaerts would be a great addition if we get him.
