When we played 5-A-Side at Newcastle Uni there were two teams called “The Real Gonads” and “The Filthy Wilson”. None of their players were called Wilson so I’ve still no idea what that team name meant but it sounded class when the results were read out.

My team was called simply “FTM” which didn’t go down well with the staff teams who were mainly mags. Meh!

Just to add, I know what it means in these modern day times…. but this was back in 1992 so before the famous Tom Hanks film and its inspired volley ball activities
