Well mainly because it's so quiet rather than a balls to the wall guitar intro, sends shivers down my spine when I hear it.
Ahah! Reet, see where you're coming from. Not in your face like the majority of the songs on here, more subtle. Bit like Wishbone's Ash's Throw Down The Sword for me - hackles on the back of my neck go every time - especially on the live versions

This charming man - The Smiths
Mr Tambourine man or 8 miles high- The Byrds
Sweet child o' mine - Guns n Roses
Losing my religion-R.e.m

Here is one that not many will be familiar with..........Driver 8 R.e.m

Come on baby light my fire - the doors
Sub culture (edit) - new order
True Faith - new order
Don't stop believing - journey (aye, ah knar)

First time I saw Richard Hawley live he opened with "As The Dawn Breaks" it gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.

One of these Days - Pink Floyd
I wanna be Adored - Stone Roses
Sympathy for the Devil - Rolling Stones
Loaded -Primal Scream
Song to the Siren - This Mortal Coil
