For music lovers...

Just watched on YouTube some old footage of jimi hendrix in Stockholm (1969)..playing voodoo child...brilliant watch for hendrix fans...brilliant watch...utterly gifted and a genius..made the guitar talk.

Bought me a pint in The Cellar Club in Shields in 1967 when I was 5, top bloke.
That’s now a dentist practice.
I think the fact that everybody who's ever picked up a guitar before or since say otherwise would suggest that you're completely and utterly wrong on that one.
And the fact the greatest musicians at the time came to watch him. Beck and Clapton included.

I love live Hendrix but prefer the controlled brilliance of the singles, just more subtlety and the fretboard pyrotechnics make more impact within the structure of a 7" disc.

My favourite Hendrix track is “The Wind Cries Mary”. It’s a love song, a Ballard for his girlfriend.

No shredding just great playing and singing.

Have a listen - it’s 3 minutes you won’t regret.
