Nobody would be arsed if he hadn't set fire to his guitar and played it with his pegs. Had to rely on gimmicks. Not for me.

I think the fact that everybody who's ever picked up a guitar before or since say otherwise would suggest that you're completely and utterly wrong on that one.

Jimi was definitely a pioneer, innovative, and very influential. As far as electric bluesy rock players go, for me Rory Gallagher is the 'best'.

I love live Hendrix but prefer the controlled brilliance of the singles, just more subtlety and the fretboard pyrotechnics make more impact within the structure of a 7" disc.

My favourite Hendrix track is “The Wind Cries Mary”. It’s a love song, a Ballard for his girlfriend.

No shredding just great playing and singing.
