The Guardian is a fairly left leaning newspaper, although they do sometimes have editorial pieces and articles from those who'd consider themselves more right leaning.

Well, obviously if there's a major happening you get bombarded with news from various outlets and from other people, but I find the BBC to be fairly informative and interesting. I can't think of a more reliable news source, although their sports reporting is usually well behind SSN.
