How bad would it need to get

It' s 52 years for me and As I always say....usually to taunting Mags....I 'd go if they were in the Wearside League.

By 'give it up' you mean stop attending, I'd imagine about 10,000 would disappear if we got relegated and probably a further 7k would stop attending if we were in League One. It has always happened not only to us but clubs up and down the country

Of course, few on here will admit they are one of those people because they'll get torn to shreds

Can't imagine not supporting the lads whatever trials and tribulations we go through - though I haven't been to anywhere near as many games since I retired as I used to. I'd still renew my current season card even if we went down because it's good value at concessionary rates for old fogeys.

And in any case there's still enjoyment to be had in the "lower" leagues. Anyone who was there - like me - will always treasure memories like the mudslide at Wigan and many many more. Every cloud has a silver lining an all that.

15 points/19 points, numerous relegations and general disappointments hasn't stopped me going so I don't think anything football wise would stop me.
I do wonder whether I could face going without me dad, going with him is something that is just so ingrained in my life, and something I love doing so much with him that I can't imagine going without him:(
Hopefully it's many years before I find out

I think the record was 18.

Remarkable thing about the 02/03 is we had 19 points on the 1st January and at the end of the season we still had 19 points. Takes some doing.
I remember in the February my owld man put a bet on that we wouldn't win another game all season. The bellend was ower the moon when we lost to Arsenal on that last game :)

If ticket prices were to rise to the levels that sides like Arsenal and Chelsea charge. That would be it for me.

Nothing would stop me from a football perspective.

If you can even contemplate giving up then you are not a true fan. We have been in the 3rd division and I have still supported the lads!!

This weekend was a piece of piss compared tot he drop into Div 3. I'd never pack it in. I've only seen 4 wins and 3 draws in the last 7 years, so my expectations are low.
