How much does the Fulham game mean to you?

There's plenty on here that probably would ;)

As much as relegation would be soul destroying, winning the F.A. cup would simply put us fans and the region as a whole into euphoria. Those that remember '73 will know what it was like back then. Folk outside the region and around the world were suddenly aware of this club and took it to their hearts. If only our present squad had the heart and battling qualities the '73 team possessed we wouldn't be in the shit we're in. We had a great opportunity to go all the way last season until our reserves were stopped by Hull (thanks Gus) :evil:

With the likes of Chelsea, Man. City and Spurs out of the cup a lot of clubs will no doubt fancy their chances, given a decent cup draw and surely Gus has to be thinking the same. Gus appears to think our fans are impatient, it's 42 years since we won the cup, with a manager who could motivate and gel together a bunch of mostly ordinary players (at the time) into believing they could take on anyone and win. We want more moments like last seasons League cup run, we want to win this F.A. cup so let's go for it Gus, let's start with a league win against Burnley and move on to beat Fulham in the cup.

Would it be any more soul destroying than it's been in the past?
Possibly. Obviously no one wants that to happen - or if they do I'd wonder why.
I was at that Hull match. It was bloody awful .

Nothing will change for us in the league unless we are bought by somebody with more money than sense.

That league cup run and the day out from Wembley have left me with life long memories.

Desperate for us to beat Fulham!

I think it matters a lot. Once again it remains the only chance of a bit of success and it is spiriting to have games that don't relate to the gloom we are experiencing at the bottom of the PL once again.

The Bradford game is a really tricky tie but it's winnable. So we have a way into the QF if we play well and that would only be one win away from Wembley for those that are desperate to see us return there.

What worries me is that GP tinkers in cup games and we need to put out our best side in every game to maximise our chances. We have hardly got 100s of games to play so I can't see an issue with that.

And it really matters as well as I am going to the game next Tuesday and I've dragged 7 non mackems mates along for the ride. A 0-0, and us losing 3-1 on pens might be the end of my relationship with a lot of them!
