Also beautifully soundtracked by Eddie Vedder.

However tragically stupid Christopher McCandless' decision ultimately was, it's hard not to respect the way he totally went against the 'normal life'.

Just listened to the soundtrack in full and I have to say, it's superb.

Fascinating story. Found myself researching him heavily after watching the film. Hard to explain why his story is so compelling as there are plenty of people who have died in the wild and no one has battered an eye lid.

I dont usually pick people up on spelling, as mine is terrible

But battered eyelids sound f***ing minging.

No, he was poorly portrayed in the film. Plus Jon Krakeur's a good author at not coming down on either side in his writing. Into Thin Air is a brilliant account of the 1996 Everest disaster.

Bump. Just read the book and I have to say I found it a fascinating read. People can say he was an idiot, but it just appears he was unfortunate in the end.
