out of all our new signings

I think Lens from the new signings, but I think we'll see more effort, commitment and goals from your Watmore's few cameo appearances, than the rest of the team.

M'Vila looks a class act and Borini will do the business but Toivonen could well be the surprise package, linking everything up and getting us to play more in the opposition's half...looked good and strong at Villa.

"Ola Toivonen also represents a risk following an uninspiring season in Ligue 1."

An uninspiring season where he scored a goal every 4 games, from midfield .......... this bloke's never heard of him has he
Couldn't be arsed to read it all but I'm going to presume they don't mention the fact Thauvin was voted into Ligue 1's worst team of the season

M'vila looks quality, think he'll have a big impact this season.

Lens / borini / ola will all be very good signings though imo

It's nice to be thinking very positively about our signings for once! I can't decide between M'Vila, Lens, Borini or Ola

Some of M'Vila's 1st time passing forwards has been ridiculously good, With Lens, Ola and AJ in front of him I have a feeling he'll be the catalyst for quite a few counter attacks. He won't grab the headlines on MOTD but it's plain to see he is a cut above any player we have had in recent years.

I'd have said Toivonen fits that bill better tbh, don't think many if any thought he.was an especially inspired signing but his 45 at Villa seems to have a lot doing an about turn, of course it's the earliest of days but his impact could be bigger than anyone had dared hope (but still think back to Bridcutt v mags for some balance....!)

Er...

If he has one problem it's the fact that he can be a bit overly aggressive (he's all elbows), otherwise I think he'll be a big player for us this season.

M'Vila. He's a very good player. I know it was only 45 minutes and he looked knackered toward the end but I really liked the look of the big Swede.

Good call, so far anyway. I've said it a million times if a player gives his his all he'll get all my support regardless of ability and if this lad has a bit fire in his belly after an less than ordinary season in France it could work out great for us, I look forward to what he's like at full fitness.

M'Vila when fully fit is going to be a fantastic player imo.

But we have done well with all of the recent signings, very solid window in the end.

when toivonen came on against villa he instantly made an impact, not just through his own passing but the way he marshaled the midfield especially so that we established a bit of control over the game through holding possession. this has been what we've been crying out for more than anything and if this is a quality that he brings consistently to the first team then there won't be the necessity of bypassing our shoddy midfield with hopeful long balls. m'vila for all his good qualities still goes about his own game but in toivonen we could have a real leader, which would be huge. again, that's just going off 45 mins but lets hope he can get his fitness up
