Its slightly lighter, and I have found it easier to play. I havnt played a LP standard. Mines a Traditional.

I can definitely understand that. Never played a Traditional, but the the Standard and Classic which I owned previously were just too heavy. The balance not great either. Form over ergonomics! (The Yamaha SG 2000 I had was also like a brick shithouse, but the balance was good)

Think the feline`s neck looks finished in nicer. Gibsons looks like its been hoyed into the cut out, glued and painted with a big pronounced heel. The new one has a much nicer and neater shaped look to it. The truss cover still looks better on the Gibbo with the nice bell shape though
