Thing is though, nobody forces clubs to sign other Premier League players. There's a whole world out there but clubs are too lazy to scout it and too obsessed with instant success that they'd happily pay extortionate fees and extortionate wages on long contracts in the hope of getting a couple of seasons out of a player. They happily justify ticket prices on wage costs when they've got players in their 30s sitting on huge contracts that they can't shift though.
If you look at Schneiderlin and Southampton, they took a gamble on him as an 18 year old from France and developed him into a good player, Liverpool or whoever can't be arsed to do the same and want the finished article now, fair player to Southampton for getting as much as possible and reinvesting abroad
