August was a great starting point. A few sellers down there, Great music through the day, Free in, Beers and just a get together.

We've got about 12 sellers lined up. Vinyl only, 7's and 12's. Funk, Soul, Disco, House, Alt, Northern.

Smoove (From Sunderland ;)) and many others. Prices from £2 upwards. It's a great Afternoon of DJ's, eats, beers and socialising. It costs you nothing, unless you buy some records. x

A great idea but bring the fucker to Sunderland. I live in the land of the unwashed and they have plenty of decent stuff going on. Sunderland need more of this kind of thing.

if there's beards I'm out(only cos I cant grow one)

if this was in Sunderland I can guarantee nee fucker would turn up.

I knar but set it up well with bait, bands, a place to have a sly smoke and you're on to a winner.

I'm sick to fuck of Newcastle getting all the good stuff. Share the love for christ's sake.

not really..it's not on new bridge street.

I apologise, I thought it was based at that comedy club - it will still be full of twats though

It's pointless; a high percentage of people from Sunderland - as amply evidenced on here - sneer and wish everything to fail as a genetic trait, people from over that neck of the woods wouldn't head through here for anything regardless

While people from Shields bang rocks together in an attempt to replicate the strange music in their heads

Why will it be full of twats?

Is buying records twatful?

mate, quit while you're behind

"the stand" is on high bridge street.

for me, we've got nothing to lose. what we're trying to do is get people together in a (great) spot, to freely hear and buy some records. maybe also have a few drinks, eat and relax. sorry it's not in the SR postcode, but those who live in that postcode are MORE than welcome to contact me to either get more info, OR come along and sell some records.

You're probably right as evidenced by the Split festival, which was canny but could have been so much better.
Anyway less pessimism and more positivity!
KICK OUT THE JAMS MUTHA FUCKERS!

its nowt to do with wanting anything to fail. I just know people wouldn't turn up. Unless its on the established route people don't want to know.

Not in the slightest; but it will be full of the sorts who have got into vinyl recently and upped the used prices for everyone else
Can't see a problem with people getting into records. If new people weren't getting into it they wouldn't get made. I think it's quite nice that events like this are going on. Just people getting together, have a drink and listen to some music. Nowt wrong with it.

I thought the first one was at the stand and got my bridge streets mixed up

but, hey, best of luck with it mate - god loves a trier and I've no beef with it being in Newcastle at all, I certainly wouldn't suggest having it over here.

as for this,

'People from other that neck of the woods wouldn’t head through here for anything regardless'.

I'd be happy to wager a bet that about 40% of the people who went to the ward 10 parties in sunderland, travelled through from Newcastle. I dj'd at a couple of their parties and it was a pleasure. also, I'd imagine that I'd influenced garry, keiron and ryan too.

Agree with everything you've said; music is the most important thing - I love my vinyl, but the format isn't the most important aspect and it's becoming too much of a thing
