Just put £10 in. but can't see how much the lad has raised so far.
I think if you go on the link. The black bar at top of page that says' road to stadium of light, ride for Nina.
Click that and it will take you back to the page which tells you how much is donated so far.

£2182 and he is trying for £8000 - so he's just over 25% of the way there. Good luck to him and Nina

Can't get my head around what they're trying to do with this. The idea was to merge this with the one with the new title. It's all getting a bit strange.

Is what we are asking unreasonable!!
Are we doing something wrong or do they know something we don't.
Can't get my head round it.
SMB has some great and interesting things on it, but also some real crap that get left alone.

Just trying to do a bit of good to help a good man and a child less fortunate than us.
A couple of clicks of a button could potential help is raise a lot more for a very good cause.

Because they cannot release a t-shirt to commentate it?

I can only imagine a standard merge bases itself on the oldest thread and adds the newer ones to it. How about we get this thread re-titled instead?
Add '- your help needed' to the current one?

No idea how it works, but how hard can it be?

Does anybody know roughly how many miles a day this lad is doing?

Just my opinion mate but, as soonas the national media got hold of the Malaysian disaster (which was an fantastic gesture by the lad who started the fund btw), people seemed to be falling over themselves to show how we can put rivalry aside and display what great people we are.
As this has had next to no publicity, it's garnered nowhere near as much interest, despite hopefully helping to change a poor little girl's life a bit.
The fact is, those two poor sods couldn't be helped, this young un can be.

A cynical view, yes but I can't think of any other reason.
This 100% Great post.

Around 85-90 km I think which is around 40-45 miles. He's riding around 5 hours a day according to his Facebook page.

If we can raise a grand for some banner, 2500 for flowers then I honestly can't understand why we can't raise this target for a bloke, riding on his own, with only a f**k off great Sunderland flag for company.

Cheers for that. I hope his bike has a proper seat on it and not one of those racing bike ones.

Mods, can you merge the original thread into this new one so we can keep the new title?

After all our epic responses to good causes in the past, let's hit this target for a bloke, riding on his own, with only a f**k off great Sunderland flag for company. He's trying to change a little girls life , I think he deserves our help. To those that have already donated, well done, fantastic effort. To those that haven't, please give this some consideration. It's a worthy cause, this lad is putting his body and soul into it, least we can do is help him out.
