IIRC, the mods said years ago that they didn't like to push charity threads (like by stickying them). I think the reason was that there are so many worthy charities that you'd end up with loads of stickies! Or end up saying no, and then getting into arguments over why did you sticky this and not that?

I could be wide of the mark like!

No mate, you're spot on. We just have to keep bumping it and getting it around. If anyone knows someone who can get the media to look at it in some way; they need to.

Mrs Dick's flowers and the MH17 flight causes raised sooo much; this needs to do the same.

  • Will be attending first home game vs Norwich.
  • Now cycling on his own all the way. Only company he has is a Huge Sunderland flag
  • MASSIVE LADS FAN!!!

After all our epic responses to good causes in the past,let's hit this target for a bloke, riding on his own, with only a f**k off great Sunderland flag for company. He's trying to change a little girls life , I think he deserves our help. To those that have already donated, well done, fantastic effort. To those that haven't, please give this some consideration. It's a worthy cause, this lad is putting his body and soul into it, least we can do is help him out.

Makes sense not to sticky, there's just too many good causes, and potential for rifts. Bump bump bump bump it up, though. Done.

I'll be driving up from Portsmouth on the Thursday evening with the family.
Guessed if he can ride a bike from Italy and give up a months work, I can have a couple of days off and sit in a car for a few hours.

Just had a quick chat with Enrico.
800km done, 4 days before he is in the UK.
Beers every day.
He is still in very good spirit.

Let's keep the donations going.
Try a least get his target before he arrives.
