Thought electing a candidate for the London mayor contest by online poll was acceptable but apparently not good enough for the trade unions to use to vote in strike action
Can you expand on this rob, as it is not quite clear

The tories used a online voting system in the London candidate mayor race but won't allow the unions the use of them when deciding strike action

Nothing else to really say on it tbh
If they want true democracy in the workplace then they should allow a ballot box in the workplace, postal votes and online voting. This will be far more inclusive than the current system.

They don't support this as it will give any union activity achieved through such a democratic process a clear mandate and they do not want that under any circumstances.

Anyone who uses a non-dom status to avoid paying UK tax isn't fit to to be either an MP or mayor of London.
