Same here. Covers a couple of positions and has held his own enough to be back-up in a Prem team.

He was part of the problem, definitely. Wouldn't single him out as the main culprit for that disaster mind.

Everyone is down on Vergini and bigging up Coates, but there are a lot of similarities.

They both had poor first seasons on loan with a couple of good games at the end resulting in a clamour to sign them.

If you can be happy about one there's every reason to be happy about the other.

They both had poor first seasons on loan with a couple of good games at the end resulting in a clamour to sign them.

If you can be happy about one there's every reason to be happy about the other.

Possibly but I do think Coates natural game is more suited to the Premier League. Vergini is comfortable in possession and likes to play, sometimes when its not needed. Coates showed towards the back end of last season that he is an out and out defender.

This, I like him but it seems DA doesn't, would be a waste of wages and a squad spot if he isn't going to feature though.
