Thinking of a few days away later in the year down south somewhere, Bournemouth, Torquay etc..those sort of places - anywhere the wise old SMB would reccomend. I've only ever travelled south for London games and to fly so never had chance to assess them myself.

sandbanks ,poole is lovely as above , had my 40th there last year

I'll probably see you down there, so may give it a miss ;)

Looks like the bloody Maldives that

Impressive like Shints

i was amazed with the place, if you get the weather its spot on, night times going for a few beers sitting outside it was hard to believe you were in the UK

me sister lives in poole, great place weather just a bit nicer and everythings a bit slower, weird but good, monkey worlds down that neck of the woods, worth a look..head along the coast onto devon

Dorset coast

Cornwall of course

Devon coast - Salcombe area

Anywhere to the west of Bournemouth all the way to Cornwall has its merits (except Plymouth)

Depends what you're after really?

Bournemouth is shite in my opinion. Poole is nice and some canny pubs. Sandbanks is a nice beach and has some expensive houses but nowt else. But get the little ferry across to Studland and it's lovely there. Great little beaches and good walking. Then anywhere along the Jurassic coast is great too. Weymouth would be a good place to base yourself if staying around there.

However I would recommend Devon and Cornwall. In particular Looe and Polperro and over on the other coast to Padstow, Tintagel etc.

Nothing too much tbh mate, relatively cheap, pleasant sights and a few quiet bars ideally.

Well it's only a little bit longer to get to Devon then Cornwall that it would be Poole or Weymouth as you've got the M5.

Nothing cheap like but loads to see and loads of old boozers. One thing I miss from down there are the beers. Way better selection than here. Try the Tribute and Doom Bar.

Oh and don't listen to anyone who says The Eden Project is a great place to visit. It's shite.

Me fatha has been to Cornwall before and swears by it so will probably end up having a look down there or thereabouts. Really fancy getting into some old boozers and trying some new stuff, and if our lass wants to visit the Eden Project while I do that then she is more than welcome

Thought the Eden Project was canny mesel. Like the area around St Austell, Charlestown is nice.

If you're thinking of going to Bournemouth there is a deal for a two night stay in a hotel there on Groupon today if you go to one of the London deals.
