Remember this in the 80’s? I think it was on Metro Radio with Charles Harrison iirc. No full live commentary, just straight over to the ground with “It’s a Goal!” when someone scored - heart used to be in your mouth - was it our goal or theirs

I think later on if it was a goal for the opposition there was a groan after the It's A Goal. Goal for us and there was a cheer.

John Cairns did, yes. Railton Howes would often do the midweek shows when they'd play music and interrupt it with It's a Goal. Jimmy Shand supposedly brought us luck.
