If someone offered you the chance to retire now, pulling in the exact same cash as you are now fr the rest of your days, but with the trade off being you age ten years, would you accept?

Obviously that can't happen (unless a genie or summat rocks up) but wondered how many value youth/years left to live over not having to graft. I know some on here can't wait for retirement, and others find it odd essentially wishing your life away.

Obviously had enough coin to do so. There will be many, unlike yourself, who haven't had opportunity to see much of the world due to lack of cash and graft. Many will be too old to do so by the time they hit retirement. Shave ten years off and do your living whilst you're young enough too. Can see that angle, depending on your current age.

I'm 46 now so not much point in this deal for me. And I enjoy my life - I wouldn't want to give it away.

Exactly. I’m lucky in that I look forward to going to work, I’d hate a job I dread going to.

It's your asked me a few of weeks ago I'd have said definitely yes. But been better lately so not sure.
If I don't get at least 10% bump next month I'll be looking for a new job anyway so sod it might as well retire

Nar my job is okay and pays well but the things I want to do with my time would mean I had no time to work. Travel the world, learn languages and musical instruments, read books, climb mountains and train for marathons and stuff. Impossible to do it all whilst holding down a full time job
