I never knew that, thanks for the info'.

My memory of that track comes from the Hoppings at the time, when it seemed that every other ride was either playing it or this one!

 
Some Joe Meek produced tunes.

Rod Stewart was the singer with these, but Meek didn't like him so he got binned. The song was also banned by the BBC because they thought it was unsuitable for people of a nervous disposition!


This band were mainly 17 year old kids, but I love this song.

The reason the Honeycombs were so named was because the drummer was a hair stylist as her main job.
