Obviously there are thousands of Mexican restaurants around our way (the population is 50% Mexican) and some are better than others, but we have a fantastic Oaxacan restaurant a couple of hundred yards from our house, the food is cheap, but spectacular.
I wad basing it on my one and only trip to Mexico. It's something else over there, rather than just brown pulp you can tell it is actually beans.

Had antojitos in Mexico and one was a fried corn tortilla with refried beans and pico de gallo on top. Bloody lovely they were

Tin of beans with a couple of tablespoons of curry powder mixed in then fried.

Chop a hard boiled egg into slices and lay on top.Eat with a nice soft slice of bread and butter.

Fantastic

Burritos fajitas etc isn't proper Mexican food, I fell into this trap too, on of my good friends is Mexican and his mam cooked for us in America and it was the best food I'd ever tasted, I'll get some dishes what we ate for the smb cooks to try!
