Agree there. Look like they should be tastier than they are.Let's be honest there a bit shit ain't they. I'm all for supporting Sunderland stuff but I don't think I've had a good one.
Never had one, is it just a jam slice with icing?
Well that sounds deliciousIt's shortbread but you put egg in it so it's kind of like a cross between cake and biscuit for texture. It's got jam in the middle and pink icing on the top.
I think it was called Milburns - had a cafe upstairs tooThe bakery on the corner of Holmeside which is now a superstich used to do the best ones when I was a bairn. Can't for the life of me remember what it was called.
My mates shop, well he's retired and daughters now run it. Brilliant bakersLees
Got family over from Australia and were wondering where does the best pink slice? Thanks in advance

McCoys is the correct answer they supply their own shop in chester rd and hylton castle aswell as hendersons butchers in roker ave and used to supply the post office you mentionThe best used to be in the Post Office at eden vale imo.
Mullers is a good shout.
Yeah it was supplied by others, I'll take your word for it that it was McCoys. If it was, their pies were class too. They used to do a small shepherds pie which I called a Shepherds pie, pie. Are they still on Chester Road?McCoys is the correct answer they supply their own shop in chester rd and hylton castle aswell as hendersons butchers in roker ave and used to supply the post office you mention
