Wonder if Warnock regrets taking the Aberdeen job



One of the reasons that Warnock resigned from Bury, according to him, was the amount of stick he was getting from supporters. He specifically mentioned online vitriol. He specifically mentioned a message board. He specifically (mis)quoted one particular message.

I won’t name the SMB member who posted that message particular because 1. He misquoted it AND took it out of context and 2. The SMB member who was posting on the Bury board (quite a few of us did at the time) was a bit pissed off and embarrassed about it. The Bury supporters, however, were delighted with him.

About the only decent thing he did for us was a pre season week to Tavistock, Bodmin and Torquay. Scorching weather with 3,000 of us on the lash. Bought his old cronies from Bramall Lane, Tongue, Michael Brown and Paddy Kenny in on big wages. Swapped Becchio for Steve Morrison and stated he would be a legend for us 🤣 Football bar cup games v Spurs, Southampton and Everton which he won was turgid stuff. Yorkshires equivalent to Redknapp or Allardyce. Total gobshite. Not called Colin Wanker for nothing.
