I’ll believe it when I see it.
However there would be a sensible argument that if he’s enjoying it there, and loves his players, then why not have a crack at the Champions League with all these extra cash they’ll get from winning the Bundesliga?

The bundesliga winner only gets about 10m more than 10th position so they won't be swimming in cash. No doubt they'll lose a couple of their top players when big teams come knocking too.

I think they'll be a flash in the pan rather than regular competitors for the league, still sensible for Alonso to stay there though for a while longer to grow as a manager. Even if they stop doing as well he'll still get a top job when he wants it.
