People who dont think London is tremendous.

I prefer to live in the outskirts, get the best of both worlds. I only really know and visit the east side of it though tbf, very few places I'd actually choose to live over that end like.

The roughest place in Sunderland is like Bel Air compared with it's equivalent in London. The centre of London is a class place though, lots to see and do and I never get bored of it. That side of it is better than any other city I've visited or lived in.

All imo like of course..

its free in numbnuts. ;)

I don't know what that means. You haven't answered my question though, so I'll assume you're talking out of your bum again.
I listed several proper reasons whilst you were trying to be funny.

Its 2 of the things, aye. Canny big things imo.

A car would be an expensive hindrance in London. You could spend the money saved on nice things to put in your modestly-sized home. Then go outside and do fun things for free. Then drink some lager.

We went for @HellsBells birthday once. She went all Jimmy Stewart/It's a Wonderful Life on us ("I'm so lucky. I've got such amazing friends. I've got such an amazing life." etc etc) until we pulled her away from the mulled wine.

Do you reckon she'd have felt like that if she'd been necking mulled wine at the German Christmas market outside the Bridges?

gym, shopping, always gets used to help mates out, back and forth to airports, up north, across the france, to bike races etc. not sure I could survive without one to be honest.

Have you heard this @Mackem00? You can keep your car mate.

Now you've just got to come to terms with having a smaller house and you can move down.

Interesting. I may suggest a controlled experiment.

Excellent news for us near-the-A2 dwellers. I shall be in touch .

I never understand the "London is expensive" bollocks. There are 2 things which cost more, booze and rent. Once those are out if the way everything costs the same. Just there is 200000x more things to do.

There are loads of places in central London where you can get a pint for £3.50 - £4.00, is that really that more expensive than up north? A quid a pint extra over a day out on the beer is only about a tenner or maybe fifteen quid if you're a proper drinking gadie.

Right. You can have a smaller house than you want and i'm sorry, you are losing your own mode of transport. On the plus side, you have access to some free art galleries. Fancy it?

Nah.

I used that chauffeur parking at Gatwick last week. same price as long stay parking and you drive up get out and they take your keys. on the way back they drive up you take the car and offski. great system.

We normally just cab it there to be honest if we have to go early. And I may have said this before but London's official greatest airport is City - half an hour from stepping off the plane to walking through my front door.
