No idea what my BMI is (I checked and posted it once, so can't be ar*ed to do it again) but at 6'2"/14'5 I was fine and as I've already posted on this thread I'm "medium (not large) boned".

How's about you?

What is your height/weight - please don't come back with a BMI figure and I'm not interested in the size of your bones (at any time of the day)!

Circa 25 so about "normal". By the way, if someone tells you their BMI, it's the same as height/weight. It is calculated directly from the two, so in terms of judging people (as I'm sure you can't wait to do) then it's the same.

I think I understand the way it's calculated but I don't see why I should have to look at a chart when I can relate, comfortably to someone providing sex/height/weight.

In addition, shoe size I find can often (but not always) be a factor in determining how heavy someone's bones are and so influence how their weight stacks up against the average when compared to their height.

Incidentally, my reply was to a post by Horatio Underpants, not your goodself, but you answered it - am I to believe that you and he the same person and you'd just forgotten which log in you were using?

It's well known that diet accounts for far, far, more of your weight than exercise. There was a whole horizon episode about it saything that to burn off a donut that takes 20 seconds to eat would take like 6 hours of running (or something like that).

I'd rather eat a donut but not those overly expensive ones, bollocks to that, 10 for £1 jobbies.

Cracking thread. I've dropped nearly three clem since January, by keeping my cals below what I burn off.

Bought a jawbone up which tracks your burn, and you can count all your bait up.

Once the weight starts shifting, i end up doing more exercise,and being more careful about what I eat. Virtuous circle, the complete opposite of how the beef got there.

I'm a firm believer that Counting Calories isn't the answer, as I'm sure that although of a high calorific value foods when eaten together have a different effect within the body.

How long a certain foodstuff burns in a flame, isn't really the same as what effect it has on the human body. As digestion is a chemical reaction / process then surely other foodstuffs will act as a catalyst / inhibitor when digested with others.

So what we have learned so far is that if you give up every type of food that is even remotely enjoyable to eat and you exercise like Billy O you will be the right weight ?

I've been counting cals since the 5th Jan. I've dropped 3 stone.
