Auf Wiedersehen, Pet stars back in Newcastle for 2024 reunion

The cast of the hit TV show will return to Newcastle for an event to mark its 40-year legacy in May.

Unfortunately the live shows could never match the quality of the tv shows. The original writing was superb.

I watched every series loads of times.

Don't really understand why they are doing this......if its a 40 year celebration of a TV show then they should make a TV show not a concert (don't recall it ever being about singing apart from Oz wailing some C&W a couple of times). Bit of a cop out IMHO.

It would be better just making say a three part final, final series documenting the lives of the surviving main characters, what they’re doing in the modern day etc. Then be done with it

First two series were class TV for the time . Brilliantly written and acted. Then the black and white tops started to appear and it lost it's shine . Plus ozz's posh geordie accent that suddenly appeared. Will not be watching this new thing.
