I agree. Maybe it invokes a sense of togetherness. PC lost it's meaning early and its de facto meaning became 'anything that challenges my prejudices'. Now woke seems to have replaced PC. Ok, it has an actual set of targets that grows by the day, but also is used to describe 'anything that challenges my prejudices'.
