pubs in Corbridge

Cycled to Corbridge a few years ago on a really hot sunny day , two of us sat on a table outside the Angel pub watching the world go by before cycling back to Newcastle , went a few miles then reached down to my recently filled water bottle to realise I’d left the damn thing on the table outside the pub .

Never knew dehydration gave you such a f***ing bad head ache 🤕

Quiet tonight mind:

Pele Tower - top notch
Angel - the few customers that are here are very posh, good comedic value
Blue bell - the opposite of the angel. Stones on tap - canny
Golden lion - full of piss heads

We were at a wedding at Halton Grove on Wednesday so stayed at Golden Lion for the night. One man band by looks of it as same bloke checked us in, cooked the breakfast and checked us out. Rooms weren’t great but not going to complain as was only £80 and we needed somewhere to stay. Couldn’t say what it’s like as a bad but looked a bit run down.
