Meant hardcore gamer, a lot of games do run on a Mac but it can't be classed as a gamers machine.

For what he uses the laptop for - a 300-400 quid machine from pc world will do.

If you want a good windows laptop you end up paying close to MBP price anyway imo..

Details,please...
What's it not compatible with like?

Probably used the wrong terminology Frijj soz! I just find it a pain in the arse to use, having to go through iTunes for virtually everything. I had to buy expensive apps 'numbers' and 'pages' to get spread sheet and word processing capability and being American they are not exactly user friendly. I also purchased them for my iPhone4 to link with my iPad and MacBook over the Cloud. With the recent software upgrades my phone no longer displays amendments to spreadsheets etc.

Might be finger trouble on my part mind. Just don't like Apple anymore!

To the jury - please dismiss this statement as non conclusive. Carry on... :p

Oh. I got Pages and all that free.

It's shit like. MS Office for Mac is the way to go

Another vote for Apple, I have an old iMac (2007) & standard reconditioned Macbook (2009), upgraded the RAM on my iMac and it's very fast. Going to do the same on my Macbook. Both can run OSX Yosemite as well.

Right lads and lasses, i have been looking for a laptop and its has got me head in a pickle.

I tend to use the laptop for well basically nowt and I dont know why I need a new one but anyway. I play the odd game on it (Sim City) and use iTunes, an watch the occasional film.

Would like it to run my game smoothly and with good graphic detail. HDD is not important as I have a separate 2tb WD Cloud thing. Think i would like a 256gb Solid State thing.

I have a Lenovo Z500 which is i5 3210-m with 6gb of Ram. I hate it when the laptop lags so I think 8gb is the minimum i would like. Would love Full HD screen and hopefully Blu Ray.

Looka me I have £600 sheets to spend. What would you recommend

Does yours actually work? Mine was a pile of shit so I took it back.

I'd imagine the majority will work like.

Used to just come up with an error message when it was transferring files of a decent size and the connection would cut out. f***ing shitty WD make you use their own crap software to manage their devices so no drag and drop. Foaming here like.

Were you transferring the files over wifi? Seriously though, they make you use their own software? How does that work, does windows not just see it as a drive when it's connected to the PC via USB?

Tried transferring via Wifi and with it plugged into the router. Aye it doesn't show up as a drive so you've got to use WD Cloud Transfer or something. Awful.

Shite that like, makes it useless then, so you can't even make a normal network share on it?

Alright lads. I am after a laptop for £500 max. I use it for footy manager and general internet use (here/torrents and porn mainly). I want it to run footy manager like shit off a stick ideally. I am confused about the way processors are ranked these day so help me out SMB. Don't make me start a new thread.
