Great analysis.
What Ukraine need most is not a shiny new piece of kit but the declaration of the end goal and a united policy on how to achieve it.
Get Russia out of Ukraine and restore their sovereign territory.

This is the bad faith argument that comes out of the US Republican party as an excuse not to fund Ukraine. You can't make a Gantt chart for a war. It would be obsolete within weeks.

You can have long term objectives but plans have to be short term, Ukraine's plan is to stay in the game and keep winning the attritional war and exploit openings and weaknesses. Anything more detailed is just bollocks.

I think the OP wasn’t talking about this coming from Ukraine, but something from the EU.
I could perhaps see how that could be useful and not just be a bad faith argument. Let’s nail out colours well and truly to the mast.

Sounds like you just want peace and to hell with the consequences.
Ukraine needs to be in tact and in whole. If any part of Ukraine is under occupation then the war you tried to end still goes on.
Just imagine Britain were forced to sign “any kind of deal” with Germany and we gave up the Durham coalfields and our entire Jewish population as a means to that end. All in the name of peace.
The war ending needed to be a genuine real and lasting peace. Not a 5 year ceasefire to allow Russian to replenish.
