Something's not reet.

How can we go from a team of exciting young players that were playing lovely football, chasing and running at the opposition, with a great team spirit, to what we see now?.
It's got to be the coaching. Like him or not them kids thought the world of, or at least respected tony mowbray. Summit's not reet😉
The whole positivity from our play has gone, it was becoming stale under Mowbray but we’ve regressed even further.

The only time we’ve looked really impressive under Beale is against Stoke & Plymouth (2nd half).

Stoke are probably the worst team in the league right now, and Plymouth were knackered from their cup game against Leeds.

Beale is very fortunate he came up against them when he did.

Norwich and Birmingham games aside, we were shit since the Boro game under Mowbray as well - slow and ponderous, a long way from last season and our first month and a half of this season.

The fact Beale was the wrong appointment and has made us worse, doesn’t suddenly make the decision to sack Mowbray the wrong one.

Basically this. We went for an upgrade, but shopped in the reductions bay. Calamity.

We released / sold some good, solid players, and we signed a huge amount of shite in the summer, mostly on very long term contracts.

We didn't address any of the areas we did need, and brought in loads of crap players who we didn't need. The squad is weaker.

We then sacked a good manager who was doing well, even this season, and replaced him with an obnoxious dullard who has never achieved anything, likes his teams to play shit football, and doesn't have a clue what he is doing.

Mowbray wasn’t backed well in the summer. Our team isn’t good enough for the playoffs.

To sack him and replace him with Beale shows a lack of acceptance from the hierarchy, or maybe because TM had started to publicly say we were light in areas. It’s been an awful decision whichever way you look at it.

We’ve had another window since then and still not addressed the issues that Mowbray was facing.
