The lad who usually sits opposite me at work has written three books on backpacking/travelling and is currently on holiday in North Korea.
 


That there's traditional music festival in Ireland that attracts 1/10th of the entire population each year, and I didn't know it existed.
 
That thread trimming arms on cobbled together Chinese embroidery machines are infact a piece of piss to change rather than a fanny on as predicted.
 
When the Bee Gees recorded "Staying Alive" they sampled the drums from Night Fever and mixed it into a "loop". As an in joke they said the drummer on Staying Alive was "Bernard Lupe". When Staying Alive was released record producers went frantic trying to hire Bernard Lupe for their recording sessions.
 
That The Luddites weren't just 'Luddites'. Although I should have guessed really, history being written by the winners and all that...
