No, of course you're not worse than a paedophile; but what he is saying that you cannot say kick all the murders, 'normal' rapists, wife beaters, drug dealers etc. out of prison to make room for paedophiles because society thinks they're worse. As someone who used to work for the police in Children and Family Protection, and has more knowledge of what people like this actually do to children and thus has more reason to really hate paedos more than most, I still don’t see at all what parading the nadir of human behaviour on TV does for anyone. As repulsive behaviour as it is, most Paedos are very sad, miserable human beings who nonetheless deserve the dignity of lawful procedure just like anyone else. It would terrify you to know how easily some people slipped into being a a child abuser. Some I encountered were out and out evil sure, but the majority were more routine law breakers looking to break taboos and reach new highs or experiment.

But regardless of any of that, there is no f***ing equivalence between “that person did something horrible” and “we deserve to see them caught on TV”. Revolting self righteous filth.

In this case though it is being done to raise awareness of how rifw these paedos are and how easily they could be caught if the proper authorities were given more funding to accomplish it. I dont doubt the bloke is also on a bit of an ego trip but id rather things like this were happening than paedos were simply getting away with it. Only by highlighting in this manner are people likely to be shocked enough to start demanding that something is done about it and so, in that regard, i think its useful
