i could see him being a great success in Gibraltar, or the Faroe Islands.Wickam's agent has been leaking it for a month or so. Just a negotiating ploy IMHO.
Sadly agree. He believes his own hype after his finish to last season, and this one, he's been woeful. Maybe that's Poyets insistence at playing out wide for some unbeknown reason. For a big lad, he really doesn't intimidate the opposition at all. How long we keep clinging to the 'Potential' card is beyond me. He's not 17 FFS, he should be as good as he can be around now. Or is this as good as he gets? All part of the negotiating.
For what it's worth I think he'll sign a new deal.
Aye he's had good games and bad, but he never really strikes me as someone desperate to show his worth to potential suitors.I really hope he goes soon, because if he trying hard to get a new deal, god knows what he'll be like if he gets another 3 years
Plus im sure he's on a lazy bonus
Pretty much that TBH^He's committed 27 fouls so far this season, which is the highest in the league.
I honestly hope he doesn't sign a new contract. Lazy. Ball greedy and not very good.
The shame is he's got lots of talent and is athletic. Appears to be a lazy arse though.
A bit like the commentator said about boxer Joe Bugner, he had the figure of a Greek statue but possessed fewer moves.
You've kept that one up your sleeve for a while.

Embarrassing that mind, he's f***ing 21. Drogba, SKP, Quinn, Ronaldo, Messi, Ibrahimovic, Henry, Bergkamp, Beckham, Shearer (albeit he's mag scum), B£nt, Fletcher, Gyan, Aguero, RVP, Costa.......
None of them were 'as good as they could be' at 21. Pathetic to suggest that. Was AJ at his best at 21? No, almost no players are.
If SMB rules are what we go by then he has a few year yet. Colbacks potential was talked about last season. However he's been in and around the first team since he's been 16, so he cant keep the potential tag for ever
No, what I'm getting at is that ever since he arrived from Ipswich, this 'Potential' nonsense has been pushed at us year after year, and for me, at 21, he should be actually looking the player we thought we'd invested in, and for me he looks nothing like a half decent forward at all. How long does 'potential' take to run out before we realise we've bought badly , again FFS? Just get frustrated with us always getting our pants pulled down in the transfer market, and then trying to justify something such as potential to disguise the fact.Give ower lad.
I know his goals kept us up but looking at his time as a whole he's been a massive disappointment, imo.Not bothered either way if he goes but the 8m fee was a bargain after he kept us up.
