i suppose for the second half it looked like scotland gave up, but ireland just smothered them and kept them pinned in their own half

with a group that has france and italy in it, i reckon we might make the quarter finals. i doubt we will make the semis as we tend to shit ourselves for big games

Let's do some facts here.

-we conceded 9 tries at home to the 3 worst teams

-France might well have won if they'd hit their kicks

-us winning in Cardiff was a surprise and to be honest not sure we deserved it.

-Ireland were clearly the best team

-James haskell is genuinely awful

That said we are a young team and with a full strength xv we'd be a force. Parling yesterday was immense. I still see weakness at 12 but ford is the answer to 10.get shite like Cips, twelvetrees and easter out of the squad. We won't be ready for the world cup but I think we'll do better than Wales. Ireland look good now against southern hemisphere thanks to schmidt and claustrophobic defence.

id put Tuilagi at 12 and joseph at 13 , i dont think burrell is quite up to scratch

I think ford needs a go to option when he's in bother and I agree. Tuilagi is that option. Plus he terrifies defences.

Johnny Sexton is just brilliant. It is like watching a machine. England, Ireland, Scotland. Does it matter, every now and again you just have to stand up and applaud.

I just do not get it about Sexton.

I don't find him consistent. I think playing in France has improved him and toughened him up and I concede his support is not as strong as previous kickers have had but I can not like him.
