Beans beans they're good for your heart the more you eat the more you fart

Do you beleive people who need to talk to a friend as weak minded? Or perhaps there strong enough to share their problems with someone they trust and accept they'll gain strength through support, instead of 'being adult'

I think people who talk to real friends are sensible. If people talk to imaginary friends yes , they are weak minded. I am sure you will paint that as harsh and uncaring but it is a fact.

"Or perhaps there strong enough to share their problems with someone they trust and accept they'll gain strength through support, instead of 'being adult'

Someone real , yes. Someone not real, no.

It's purely down to the individual mate and I've seen my fair share of dying people convert towards the end whether thru some kind of divineness only they witness or simply being terrified.
Who knows the truth but I suspect it isn't the church or the boffins with their Big Bang theory.
So what do you suspect it is then ?

"Question: "What does the Bible say about the three wise men (Magi)?"

Answer:
We assume that there were three wise men because of the three gifts that were given: gold, incense, and myrrh (Matthew 2:11). However, the Bible does not say there were only three wise men. There could have been many more. Tradition says that there were three and that their names were Gaspar, Melchior, and Balthasar, but since the Bible does not say, we have no way of knowing whether the tradition is accurate.

Pleased to add to your knowledge
I don't need your knowledge mate, or your use of Google.
I posted you a link that you haven't read and now you've found another one, WOW. Shall I add to this fun game and post yet another?

No, in much the same way talking to a friend about your dying relative doesn't save them, but it is cathartic and helps to feel like a problem halved.
What are the criteria under wich god acts on a prayer?

Depends who you ask. You can ask two people with the same God, and even go to the exact same church, and they'll give you very different answers. For all of the almighty's brilliance, he/she/it is f***ing rubbish at getting a message across to the ones who worship him/her/it the most.

It all depends on whether the friend is real or imaginary.

The bible doesn't say 3 wise men. Do you understand that ?
You posted a link to a bible passage which doesn't mention 3 men so you either didn't read it yourself or didn't understand it ?
Do you know what the actual 3 Kings were ?

You are all individuals.

What has bravado got to do with it ?
I have literally weeks to live. I am terrified and don't want to die. Not brave at all. Does not mean I am about to believe a bronze age creation myth created to foster social cohesion though.

What are they then ?
Pet, are you going through the living Reef thing? I remember you mentioning it a while back.

I didn't say the bible said 3 wise men, it was all explained in the link I posted. Do you understand that?
Try reading the link I posted, if you're capable of understanding it.

The Visit Of The Wise Men (Matthew 2:1-12)

The very next passage in the gospel after the report of the birth of Jesus records the visit of the wise men to Bethlehem. The account is short and straightforward; but it does include a reference to an Old Testament prophecy which will be important in the interpretation. The story essentially tells of the homage of these “Magi” to the one who was born king of the Jews. But it is a story that is tightly connected to its context; it not only builds on the information revealed in the previous passage about the birth, but it also lays the foundation for the crisis to follow.

The fact that these cinemas banned it has given it publicity that the church could never afford to pay for so from their point of view maybe nt a bad thing.

Some christians mildly upset....if the cinemas had banned something from the muslims they would have wanted some beheadings.

Which shows the crux of the problem, you don't believe in God therefore THAT is the reason you won't do it and that's fine but my conclusion that there is a God means I do pray and it does help me.

It all depends on whether the friend is real or imaginary.
Real obviously

I try to talk sensibly to you people but you really are hard work sometimes. Muslims account for less than 4% of the UK population and the history of the UK shows that, like the Vikings, the Normans and the Romans they will eventually be absorbed into the culture and lose their own culture and religion. That is the way things have always happened here. Stop being frightened by things the right wing media tell you.

"Like I said here comes the bravado".

It's not bravado. At some point in your life (I hope) you stopped believing in Santa Claus but it sounds as though you are clinging to the idea that an invisible man in the sky is looking out for you. It's nonsense. My dad and my sister died within 4 months of each other 15 years ago but they are not sitting up in the clouds waiting for me to join them. They don't exist any more. It's awful but true and denying the fact is weak and childish.
You do realise Islam is the second largest religion now in the world and the fastest growing year on year. Over 1.7 billion followers and it is estimated that it could eclipse Christianity in the next decade.
To liken it to Vikings and Normans is staggering. Keep your head buried in the sand pal.

Good for you mate. Evangelical aethists are a hell of a lot worse than evangelical christians.

Do my advanced care plan and end if life plan this week actually. Can't do the living reef officially here but working through how to do it. Had a dive with my youngest to scout a location last week and get a yummy feed of scallops as well of course :)

Exactly and this is the real issue I have with it. The cinema agency wouldn't of had the balls to ban an Islamic advert during their Ramadam if it had been done first.

You have persuaded yourself that the Judeo christian god exists, or possibly you have been persuaded by your parents that it exists. So you pray to it or , as many would say, talk to yourself. That gives you comfort. Good for you. If you ask me to honestly say what I think I will reply that you are weak minded for believing this. There's no other way to tell you. If you were a 6 year old kid asking if grandma had gone to heaven I may well "yes grandma is with the angels" because kids find death a hard concept to grasp.

Exactly but i think it has backfired on them as they now look like a bunch of tossers.

The under reporting of churches being burned regularly in africa by muslims needs addressing too.

If it was the other way on there would be a media outcry.

They're really not.
:) look in the mirror mate they really are.
