Elderly Care / Power of Attorney / Private Testing

I got my POA for the wife (nope) and she got one for me, covers both finance and medical so that's us sorted for the future.

My mother is another story and we failed to get that sorted just before she was admitted to hospital and now a nursing home.

This means we now have to go down the court of protection and becoming an appointed deputy. Not cheap and not something that is not quick and easy. But at this time its all we can do so its a necessary thing to make the best of a crap situation.

Sunderland social services have already fucked us over with lack of information as has the NHS. Neither offer you any info to move forward, you have to go get everything yourself and push them to sort shit.
