Wickham every time. Can't believe people choosing the second choice scot over the lad who'll be leading the line for England in WCs to come ffs. First time I've been shocked at the outcome of a poll on here.
 
Should be wickhams spot to lose IMO . Think he is capable of adding more to the team both scoring and bringing others into play . Towards the end of the season on occasion he dropped deep got the ball and put some excellent balls through for aj and borini . That is the passing style Gus is looking for IMO
 
Voted for Fletcher but not really bothered which one. Both have their strengths. Hopefully the competition will push each other to play at the top of their game.
 
all depends on Ellis Short seems the American wants the American to play .Why else would a GP persist in playing him so regularly when he was struggling

He has to do nothing of the sort! He plays the player who looks the best in training, best in the close season, looks best in the new squad he is assembling. The best managers don't look at what players did several months ago, besides it appears the lad's attitude has been less than satisfactory to top it all off

Fletcher was injured, Wickham was loaned out because he was crapola. He was left with Altidore..that's why he persisted..but hey persist with your xenophobic conspiracy guff if it suits
 
This will be Fletcher's season to shine or shift out. I've got a sneaky feeling he'll have a good'un

And was shit wasn't he? Didn't Keano get pelters for persisting in playing him there and stunting his progression as a main striker??

Far as I see it, the position is Wickhams as long as he signs a contract, as he was the main striker at the end of last season. It's his to lose and Fletchers to gain. Would like to see 2 or 3 upfront, if we had the personnel to carry it off.

Not sure? He was 3-4. Years younger then though.

Was on the left for Leeds and he seemed to do alright from the sounds of things from their fans. Dont think it'll happen like. If anything Jozy would have more chance playing off left

Its called man management mate if whickham starts on the bench there is absolutly no chance he will sign a new contract

How can you judge Fletcher in friendlies its completely different,the shirt is whickhams he earned it , it's goto Fletcher to win it back he's not number one anymore if anything he owes us a big season he's got as much to prove as anyone
