Are you demanding ownership of the means of production? If not, why not?

Because I believe in a mixed economy - some things like healthcare are best provided by the state, some things are best provided by private companies operating in free markets, and some things are best provided by private companies operating in regulated markets.

I also believe that governments should, and can set objectives such as reducted inequality and full employment and intervene in how the economy is performing to achive them

Does that make me a socialist? I'm not sure anymore

This is very true , total misappropriation of proletarian staples

Tasty though. Really great restaurant

He's good isn't he, Ottolenghi? Surprised he doesn't get mentioned in the best chef threads more often.

His recipes are really good, and Nopi was first class - the quality of the cooking and the ingredients was excellent.

Do you have his cookbook?

Just about but I fear you are circling the bourgeois plug hole

I don't mate, thanks for asking. Might get it for the good lady for her birthday. That and a burqa.

Ive not read the Guardian since Niall Quinn stopped writing his column and Jess Carter Morley advocated wearing socks under sandals or The Independent since they featured a page of Chicago restaurant reviews. Does this make me as thick as a castle wall?.

No, just fortuitous.

If that represents the contents of your cupboards then you are defo a liberal pinko guardianista. Bet you've got some tahini in there was as well......
Probably ... Used to keep it in just in case yasser arafat popped in . Be past it's sell by date now like but hey ho.

Only thing I would have had out of that lot would have been the Urid dhal , garlic and Aubergine

all of which are bougeois concerns.

that's not Marx.

The bourgeoise would be concerned with keeping such things quiet though, especially the surveillance of citizens and a free press. A free press can be very damaging to any government. By pursuing such leads as the Snowden case, The Guardian are actively taking on the bourgeoise, in a way that the proletariat can't. I think it was Antonio Gramsci who advocated that a member of the proletarian intellectuals take up the mantle of championing the proletarian cause.

Whether The Guardian are actively pursuing such stories for a proletarian cause or just for the sake of journalism, I don't know. I don't believe they're campaigning for the proletariat, but by running such stories, their ethos is incompatible with bourgeois thought, IMO
