The adoption process

Almost totally unscathed (quick 2 night pit stop at Sunderland Royal thanks to a bout of Hyperemesis)

Majority of donors in the Czech Republic are students looking to earn some cash. They sign anonymity paperwork and all that good stuff. There is 0% chance of them finding out if their donation is ever used.

Before going over there, you fill out a form requesting hair colour, eye colour, weight, education etc etc and they match you to a donor. In both cases, we used donor egg and sperm.

You don’t pay the donors, you pay the clinic (like you would private treatment in the UK). The clinic are able to screen the embryo at 5 days old to look for things like Down syndrome etc, and of course, they also know the sex of the baby which they will only ever tell you if you get to 12 weeks 👍
