Being younger than the players
You can also add being younger than the refs these days :)
British Rail bog rolls cascading down onto the Fulwell end net when a goal was scored
Chanting starting up about an hour before the game.
"Spot the away fans" over in the Roker end when they scored.

This. Such a shame that it's almost as if some supporters go to games wanting to Boo and be negative rather than backing the team.

I do agree somewhat. Although I don't think most people go there to Boo, people definitely don't go to "support" their team anymore, they go to be entertained. It is truly a "spectator" sport nowadays.

players sprinting out of the tunnel smashing footballs into the air rather than walking out to that shit premier league music
A quick 5 minute warm up before the kick off too. Forwards peppering shots at Monty and the other players just passing balls around between themselves.

Posts 1,3,4,9, and especially 18 just about sums it up for me so far.
Matches not being moved at the whim of SKY anarl.

Goals, chances, hope.

Black boots, normal sized shorts, physical contact between players that didn't result in free kicks and cards, players who didn't dive and cheat. Not having to take out a mortgage to watch a game, just turned up on the day and paid your money.

There was cheating and diving in the 70's when I started.
