Will we be the biggest club in the Championship?

Leeds are a big club, likes of them and us should never be in the predicament we find ourselves in .

Nottingham forest. European cup winners

Leeds, self explanatory. Theyre a hige club, deserving of champions league/europe. Best fans in the country

Forest are not a big club. They had their moment in the sun under cough. Did fuck all for 100 years before him and have done fuck all since.

Leeds are a big club, but not a big pull at the moment.

In fact how many years have forest spent in the top flight of English football without clough as their manager?

Who gives a flying fuck?

Why do people always go on about big clubs?

It's a nonsense idea. What is it judged on? Could be anything. At the end of the day no other clubs fans really give a fuck about others and everyone thinks their club is bigger than anyone else does.

It just seems to be something some fans can cling to when their clubs doing shit.

Being successful is surely the only thing that matters.
The best post I have ever read on this topic

Forest are a provincial club who did nothing before Clough or after.

Leeds have never been bigger than us. More success in modern times like. But Wimbledon have had more success than us too, don't make them bigger does it.

100% spot on.

Just for context on leeds. In the time we won 1 FA cup, they won the league 3 times and were runners up 5 times. And won 1 cup and were runners up 3 times.

And runners up in European cup. And cup winners cup.
The big club thing is bollocks. Utter bollocks

Oh, them up the road are class aswell. At least they sell out

We're a nothing club atm, have been for about 40 year if we stop trying to kid ourselves
No they dont, they are averaging just over 50k. You are a mag like

We'll have a half empty SOL which will look shite on SKY whenever we are on the box. And we'll get the usual comments (which wll have some merit) - there are Sunderland, think they are a big club but they can't even sell out half their ground for home games.

I don't think we should forget that a lot of our tickets are given away or discounted which increases our crowds a lot. This will be increased still further next year in a desperate effort to give the club some good PR and to basically utilise 15-20k of spare seats each week. Our match day tickets are also a lot cheaper than most clubs which explains our relative small match day revenues given the size of our crowds.

Our support is decent, certainly steady, but the fact we are now comparing ourselves to the likes of Barnsley, Charlton, Bournemouth gives us a real context of the shite we are dropping into

Really. All this talk of them being a big well club is a piss take. Fact is they are a one club city, a city with a population exceeding Sunderland and Newcastle combined, but they have never once averaged 40K in a season. This is despite them having a top team in the 70s amd more recently having a good team reaching the latter stages of the CL. They currently get smaller crowds than Brighton.

Big club with good supporters? My arse.

We have big crowds, as do Newcastle. In terms of identifiable success, both clubs underachieve massively and we have both done so for 50+ years.

Bournemouth and Boscombe Athletic Football Club have the biggest name. :)

Can't wait for this like.

(Til it gets shifted to a Monday night )
