A little bit morbid I know but..
Went out today and at about 5 miles out I remembered I didn't have my phone, I knew if I went home for it I know I would never get back out so cracked on. As I went on I realised without my phone I had no money or ID. If I'd had an accident I'm not sure how anyone would be able to identify me. I also don't plan a route. I nearly always have my phone on me but wonder what everyone else does for ID? Might have to put a sticker or something on m y bikes or even contact details on my Garmin.

I have my ICE and blood group on the back of my driving licence which I 99% of the time I have on me.

Lot of people use this kind of thing - http://www.ukcyclingevents.co.uk/onelife-id/

Not sure how effective something on your bike/garmin would be? Would a paramedic think to look there?

Also, I've been meaning to ask, you know your Spesh Roubaix disc? What sort of weight is it?

Took the dog for his usual Durham walk this afternoon and just caught the start of one of the Cyclocross races..

bedlam like..
Not my bag but seemed a good laugh, some top end bikes and fancy team vans etc.
Much more of a bigger organised thing than TT ing ( village hall and a couple of marshalls)

Never seen as many jet washer thingies ;)

National trophy weren't it. I was going to have a ride through, but I've had homework to do

ah that might be why didn't see many local club jerseys and lots of team vans and motorhome type things.
Had commentators etc, I was wondering if the local ones were that "big"

I never went for the disc as I was worried about the lack of wheel choice, with discs, at the time. I couldn't find a weight on all the space and reviews but I did try to weigh it with my luggage scales will see what it was when I get home. Been out on the Ali Scott today and there's very little difference on a short ride. The Roubaix comes into it's own when I get past 50 miles though.

Ah, I could have swore you had the disc for some reason.

I like my Croix de Fer, but it's currently at about 26lbs. Currently weighing up faster bike options.

Yes. We had all that yesterday for the CXNE event at the same place. Some who rode yesterday also rode today. It growing rapidly. They were turning riders away yesterday because of the numbers involved.Record entry levels.

I have it down at 20.5lbs on Strava. I wish Ivan would stop talking about cyclo-cross I'm already at D-1 :(

Looking through the Aukweb club list, apparently there's a Black Cat CC. Anyone any idea if that's a Sunderland thing? Or any information whatsoever about it?

There's also a Dave CC.

And replace the cake and coffee club run with lager and Chinese buffet ;)

I'm in:lol:

That chinese was just about edible, then again i've had worse after a session.

Totally OT, but had a bit of fun with a young'un on the commute this morning, section along to the cyclehub on the quayside. He comes flying passed me on a hardtail with semi slicks on...Old slackys having none of it and after him I go on me hybrid. Couldn't catch the little bassa, tbf he probably had 15 years and 5 clem on me. Managed to keep up about 15m back and he tipped his head a couple of times to check....I was fucked after a couple of km though....
