smoke grenades/bombs/canisters can and do cause fires,, if any nugget wants to try and prove me wrong get hold of one pull the pin and hold on to it or better still put it down your trousers if you still believe they are harmless,

Smoke bombs are harmless. I have stood withing a foot of 3 which have been set off at aways and tye one at home last season

Good job we're proving to the powers that be that terraces, drinking in sight of the pitch, segregation are NOT necessary & football fans can be trusted to behave...

My son was amongst it all. Does most away games and said the crack on the concourse was one of the best - he's only 16 but loves it.
Right the lads who set the smoke bomb off were from Jarrow and hebburn only school kids prob a daft thing to do but we all do daft things n learn from them ,I know who it was as my lad was with them n he's been told off ,these lads follow the club all over and are great supporters, not a bunch of idiots actually all bright kids who done something silly ,up n coming these lads and a big squad of them who are the future of the club so don't be too harsh on them ,oh n there ne mugs neither !

It's not just kids, there are people who are old enough to know better behaving badly in the name of the club. Youthful excitement sometimes mean we all made mistakes.

No I wasn't doubting you. Kids doing daft things, aye ok, that's what it was, but they have seen older people who should know better doing the same.

I think they look quite good in the stands and help create a good atmosphere.

If i was being a bit dramatic I suppose they could panic some people if used in a confined space like a concourse, although kids being kids, most of them no doubt think its great.

Almost every club in the league does this at half time nowadays. It's part of the day out. The police and stewards know this. If you don't like it, don't get involved.

Rocket science, it is not. I'd never stoop so low to call our own supporters cretins like.
What about if you just wanted to buy a hot dog or a drink at half time but couldn't get anywhere near the kiosks because of the apes doing their embarrassing Neanderthal dancing?

That would be the most rdiculous thing , can you imagine the fights when people start hoying pints over the seats in front ?
Just look at the way our lot were acting in that vid in the bar ?
Letting em take drinks into the stands will never happen .

The point is that they wouldn't, imo.

They want to have a few drinks and sing. At the moment, they have a 15 minute window to do the first bit, which might be why they've turned the concourse into part of the match day experience. I can get why they do it, but also understand why it's irritating for people coming to the game with kids.

If people could enjoy a few pints over the course of the game then maybe they'll use their energy to help create an atmosphere.
