Migrants trying to get here from Calais

Not from France they dont
You suggested that they only come to Britain because they are forced out of Italy/Germany/France etc. You then suggest that they even though Sweden has better welfare they don't go there as it is not on route to back up your argument. So how the fuck do 80 000 + end up in Sweden?
They are clearly targeting not safe countries but countries where they will be better off economically - like you would expect economic migrants to do.

It's mental and it all comes down to France and their refusal to process them, I have no problem with Britain taking their fair share of genuine asylum seekers if they can prove that is what they are but it should be the case for every country in the EU not just us, reminds me of that district 9 film.
Anyone getting off a ferry or through the tunnel should be photographed, DNA tested, fingerprinted and sent back to France to claim asylum.

Wonder if ISIS has clicked on and began infiltrating the camps, they could be anyone even if 1 in 100 was a nutter it would be shocking.

Without a doubt. ISIS already have a presence in Turkey, and that is one of the routes into Europe via Kos or Lesbos

It is just one of the many reasons why those attempting to reach the UK via illegal means should be stopped.

After all of the hardship they have went through to reach this stage you'd think they'd have no qualms going through the correct legal process to enter the country.

People just assume they all want to come to the UK.

Fact is probably 10% aim for the UK. Many go to Germany and France.

Italy and Greece have had about 160,000 arrivals this year. Only a few thousand are trying for the UK. Many have gone to Germany.. Denmark etc...

Language is one of the key reasons they hit the UK and possibly knowing someone in the UK who can help them out
But this thread is about those in Calais who are clearly trying to get through the tunnel.
And on the CNN report the blokes didn't speak English.

I'm genuinely puzzled why. What do they think is here that's not in say France or Germany. Have they heard it's the land of milk and honey? Is it family? Do refugees genuinely get more here than elsewhere in Europe? Do they know they can get illegal work. Why would they risk their lives or be so desperate to get here? Genuine question. It's not an attempt to start political arguing.

What we need to do is build a big old camp somewhere in the Brecon Beacons. When these people arrive they will be fed, watered and clothed, and looked after etc., until we sort out their status. This could take up to 5 years whilst the whole process is followed as those are deemed not suitable obviously appeal their status. Whilst they are in there we can educate them on British culture and how to assimilate in to British Society so when their status is granted they will slot in very nicely. They will not need to leave the camp during this time and part of the process will be to bring in British people to help them with their assimilation. In the 6 months after their status is granted then we will gently assimilate them into the British way of life before we let them settle with the general public when they will be given some starter money etc and learn all about British life. If they have come from desperate conditions then they can certainly hack their time in luxury in the Beacons and would welcome this opportunity.
At that point we will have people who are ready to contribute for the good of Britain.
If these people are so desperate to be part of us, then they will not mind doing this as conditions will be so much better than what they have left behind.
Of course once they are assimilated into society, then should they commit any crime of any sort then they will be sent back to where they come from.
Never bite the hand that feeds you.

Theyre trying to get to Britain for a better life. They are fleeing abject poverty and enduring horrendous conditions and a torturous journey to get here. But yeah they're just coming here for benefits and the free hand outs. If youd travelled thousands of miles with FUCK ALL. and given up everything you have or own for a new start. Would you be put off by a lorry driver called Dave shouting at you or by a bunch of keyboard ninjas calling you names in a foreign language. The problem is a humanitarian one and not an immigration issue. This isn't economic migration. Its a migration of HOPE.

France isn't that bad

They interviewed one last night who said he'd sold the family home and a stash of gold to finance the journey.

They must think our streets are paved with gold.

From the Telegrpah website:

Example 1:

A young Sudanese man speaks for many of the migrants at Calais when he explains his motivation for trying to reach Britain.

"All Europe, you know that the England is good. All, everybody knows that," the 25-year-old, who gave his name only as Mohammed, told Reuters today.

He said he wanted to join his brother in Britain. "I want to meet family there, he's waiting (for) me, you know," said the young man, who traveled across the Mediterranean on a boat from Libya.

"I don't have money now, I don't have a future. I don't have anything. No eat, no sleep, no shower, no house."

Example 2:

I have dear friends in Brixton, a lot of English people, they are like my family. They call me all the time but I can't go there.

In England you get everything easily. Here in Europe I can go everywhere because I have refugee document for three years. But I don't get job or school in Europe, just in England.

But they all have mobile phones and wear branded sportswear. How is that.
