New Music Releases Thread

Big Deal - In your car. My bloody valentine reborn with an indie girl you would stick it in without hesistation

It's definitely an improvement on the last album, I think it's pretty decent. Obviously you just know what you're getting with a hold steady album really

Quick brain dump on some stuff I've liked recently:

Wet - just signed to XL, along with Jungle. Sound like The xx but not quite as bleak

Years & Years - saw these a few weeks ago, crowd went nuts for it - an English Passion Pit/Naked And Famous

All We Are - bit Metronomy, bit latest Arcade Fire album

JUCE - these are brand new, they might turn out shit but this is a canny start

Movie - I know next to nothing about this lot apart from their lead singer is Korean and reckons he's Alex Turner

Kill J - catchy, catchy tune

Adult Jazz - mates of mine, supporting Wild Beasts and These New Puritans soon

Try the album June Gloom, it was one of my favourites of 2013. I went to see them in Newcastle after it was released and there was literally under 15 people there, with I'd say 5 paying punters and the rest were just the support band and their family. They were still excellent, doubt they'll be back up here any time soon mind...

I'll have a listen. The single suggests somehow that it was the best on the album by a distance, will I be proved wrong?

Panini are doing a phlegm world cup sticker album. That's what the song will be about. The singer has a double of "voluminous with yellow snot" and wants to swap it for "get to a doctor immediately".
You've out-surrealized me arks, get to your mental health nurse

I was in a pub in Stourbridge a few weeks ago and saw a band called Dexters - who were quite good, if a bit 'indie by numbers'

Just listened to their new album 'Shimmer Gold' and it's not bad to be honest - a bit like Frankie, Milburn etc

That Post War Glamour Girls album is alright like, decent 7/10. The opener is a cracker, it slowly decreases in quality until the second half where it picks up again and ends with another really good song.

Worth a listen anyway.
Just listened to this and thoroughly enjoyed it - thanks - I f***ing heart this thread :p

It's lacking something I can't put my finger on. I enjoy it like! That flowers rust song is terrible mind, only song I dislike.

Seeing them tomorrow so I'll see what it sounds like like. Any NE based people should get along, 7.30pm at Frankie's shop.
