The adverts before the pilot started?

Fawlty Towers

Blackadder
Red Dwarf
'Allo 'Allo
Drop The Dead Donkey
I'm Alan Partridge
Spaced
Monty Python's Flying Circus

I could kee going but I don't have a spare year to type out all the better British comedies.
Father Ted  Blackadder  f***ing Monty Python

Don't be silly.

Love both the UK & US versions.

UK version is easily the best comedy show written, American version has more likeable characters.

The training episode has to be one of the funniest pieces of comedy ever. I love the bit where Tim and Gareth are discussing the farmer puzzle

Gareth: Why didn't the farmer just ask for help from his wife?
Tim: He doesn't have a wife
Gareth: All farmers have wives.
Tim: Not this one, he's gay.
Gareth: Well he shouldn't be allowed near animals then!

Red Dwarf and Spaced better than The Office?! Blimey!

It's the little bits that make it so funny though. Like Gareth's little nod of acknowledgement when Tim says that.

Easily. :)

I quite like Gervais's stand-up, but I can't stand any of the shows he's been in.

There's nowt as strange as taste, eh?

Yep, the attention to detail was brilliant.

I've just remembered another favourite bit. Again, it's the attention to detail.
When they're down in the warehouse and Dawn's boyfriend, Lee, says that she'll "get her milkers out" if they have a whip-round. She's tells him to F**k off and storms off. One of the lads suggests "you won't be seeing them tonight" and Lee, with a mug of tea in his hand, replies "That's alright I've got cable" but it's the sniff he does after he says it. Fantastic attention to the tiniest details. Superb comedy.
